GenRight's high steer kit for the Jeep Wrangler JK & JKU with Reid Hi-Steer Knuckles

P/N:
STK-8800*
******OPTION*****
This "one click" kit has everything you need to get our Stage 1 Elite High Steering set up on your JK Rubicon Dana 44 front axle.

We move all the steering components up and eliminate bump steer by matching the drag link and trac bar.

The heavy duty CrMo tie rod (the rod that connects both wheels together) is moved up to be even with the middle of the axle housing tube.

We swap out all the tie rod ends for a off-road race proven heavy duty FK Brand Heim rod ends (7/8" shank).

We also swap out the stock knuckles for a Reid Racing brand heavy duty hi-steer knuckle on both passenger and drivers sides.

Kit Includes:

(1) GenRight Chromoly Drag Link w/pre-welded bungs.

(1) GenRight Chromoly Tie Rod w/pre-welded bungs.

(4) 3/4" Grade 8 Bolts, Washers & Unitorque Nut.

(1) 9/16" Grade 8 Bolt, washers & Unitorque Nut.

(5) Genuine FK Heim Rod Ends 7/8-14 shank x 3/4 bore.

(8) 3/4" Stainless Safety Washers.

(1) GenRight Trac Bar with Genuine Johnny Joint.

(1) GenRight Axle Side Trac Bar mount.

(1) GenRight Frame Side Trac Bar mount.

(2) Reid Hi-Steer Knuckles for JK Dana 44 (left & right sides).

Includes Basic Instructions.

100% Made in U.S.A.

Note:

  • Cutting & Welding is required to attach the Trac Bar mounts to the frame and axle (MIG welding is fine).
  • This kit also requires drilling out the "taper" in the knuckles (from a tie rod end to 3/4"diameter) in both knuckles (and pitman arm).
  • Reid Knuckles re-use the factory axle shafts, ball joints, wheel hubs, and brakes (so you better be handy).
  • The work should be done by a qualified person or shop (it's steering for Pete's sake).
  • Once Installed, you MUST cycle the front suspension and steering (in all possible direction combinations) to make sure the ball joints or heims DO NOT exceed their range of motion which would damage the steering components and could cause a failure resulting in a loss of steering control!
